Additional points of interest in North Sikkim that require special permission from the Indian Army

Kala Patthar: Kala Patthar is also one of the most demanding points in North Sikkim, it can be covered on the same day as visiting Gurudongmar Lake, but you need special permission from Army.
Zero Point: Zero Point, also known as Yumesamdong, is a high-altitude area near the Indo-China border. It offers stunning panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and is a paradise for nature lovers. A special permit is required to visit Zero Point.
Katao: Katao is another scenic destination in North Sikkim that requires a special permit. It is known for its snow-capped peaks and offers opportunities for activities like snowboarding and snow tubing during the winter season.

Additional points can be covered on Day 5 (Nathula Pass)

Nathula Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass at the Indo-China border, located at an elevation of 14,140 feet.

Please note that visiting Nathula Pass requires obtaining permits, and it is subject to availability and permissions from the authorities.

Day 1 Arrival & Transfer to Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
Meet your driver and begin the journey to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
Check in to your hotel and rest for a while.
Explore the local markets and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 Gangtok - Lachen

After breakfast, proceed towards Lachen, a picturesque village in North Sikkim.
En route, visit attractions like Singhik Viewpoint, Seven Sisters Waterfall, and Chungthang.
Enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains and the Teesta River.
Arrive in Lachen and check in to your hotel.
Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the village and interacting with locals.
Overnight stay in Lachen.

Day 3 Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung

Wake up early and drive towards Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world.
Witness the breathtaking beauty of the lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
After spending some time at Gurudongmar Lake, return to Lachen for lunch.
Proceed towards Lachung, another beautiful village in North Sikkim.
Arrive in Lachung and check in to your hotel.

Day 4 Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok

After breakfast, visit the Yumthang Valley to experience its beauty in the morning light.

Return to Lachung and have lunch.
Afterward, drive back to Gangtok.
Arrive in Gangtok and check in to your hotel.

Day 5 Gangtok Sightseeing (Changu Lake and New Baba Mandir)

After breakfast, get ready for exploration.
En route, visit the famous Changu Lake (also known as Tsomgo Lake), a picturesque glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,400 feet.
Enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
You can also choose to take a Yak ride or go for a short walk around the lake.
You can also choose to take a Gondola ride to enjoy scenic views from the top.
Visit the nearby New Baba Mandir, a holy shrine dedicated to an Indian Army soldier.
Reach Gangtok and Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets.

Day 6 Departure from Gangtok

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Gangtok.
